Chocolate Flavored Brunch in Chicago
I LOVE chocolate.
When I found out that I could have chocolate for brunch, it was like the world stopped and all my greatest desires were planted in front of me.
How did I end up in a sea of chocolate covered strawberries during a Sunday brunch date with bae?
All credit goes to J. We had been working really hard on our finance initiatives and it was time to feed our minds with some tasty treats. And Chicago is a great place to do that!
But when J told me where he wanted to take me out for Sunday brunch, I didn’t know if I should be grateful or concerned.
“We’re going to Pinstripes? The Bowling Alley???,” says Char as she tried to connect the dots.
“Trust me. Pinstripes is one of the best kept brunch secrets in the midwest,” assured J as he giggled inside knowing that his little secret would yield positive results.
And he was right! When I walked in, I felt like I had won the coveted Nobel Peace Prize.
Okay, I may be taking my feeling of shock a bit far. But I was definitely shocked!
Staring at me with hypnotic power was a Chocolate Fondue Fountain that was just waiting on me to introduce myself. I fell in love immediately. I almost forgot that I had a palette of other scrumptious options to choose from.
We grabbed our seats in a dimly lit corner of the room and let our appetites take us on a journey that reignited our zest for the beautiful city that we call home.
Fresh Shrimp
This was the first sea delicacy that enjoyed a seat on my plate. Yum. Yum. Yum! There’s nothing like fresh shrimp in the morning while admiring a nice view of the Chicago River.
SMOKED SALMON FLATBREAD 16
A girl’s got to have her smoked salmon. It was dressed with dill cream cheese, red onion, argula, grape tomato, and capers. I had to go back for seconds.
Brunch includes a complimentary mimosa! But one mimosa might not be enough for all the tasty treats you’ll encounter.
There’s a chef on hand who serves you with your favorite Omelette flavors to make sure you feel at home.
YOGURT & GRANOLA PARFAIT 8
I really wish I could have ate more. I grabbed the Yogurt & Granola Parfait and could only eat one spoonful of goodness. I was full. The Yogurt & Granola Parfait was filled with greek yogurt, berries, old fashioned oats, almond, and dried cherry.
I felt so good about life after leaving Sunday Brunch at Pinstripes. This was only a teaser. There is so much more that you can indulge in. My stomach didn’t allow me to eat everything in sight but when I go again, I’ll definitely let go and let my appetite run wild.
Thanks Bae!
